Utagawa Kuniyoshi Production date:1830-1848 Once, followed by his brother Yoritomo, Yoshitsune left the capital of Kyoto and headed north to Fujiwara Hidehira's domain in Oushu. On the way to Oushu, Yoshitsune and the loyal followers are disguised as the mountain priests yamabushi and the story that they are questioned their identities at the Ataka Barrier (Komatsu City in Ishikawa Prefecture) became the famous kabuki play “Kanjinchou (the Subscription List of Contributors)”.
