 Yoshida Hatsusaburo 1935 This is a map of the city of Kagoshima centered on its port. With a placid-looking Sakurajima Island in the background, it has fine renderings of governmental and municipal offices, libraries, public halls, and other facilities. The district where Saigo Takamori was born is Kajiya-cho. In this district, the birthplaces of prominent Meiji personages such as Okubo Toshimichi, Oyama Iwao, and Togo Heihachiro are located close to each other.
