解説かいせつ

 Like Enoshima, this drawing depicts Kinkazan (now Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture), where Benzaiten is said to have been enshrined. Enoshima, Itsukushima (now Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture), and Chikubushima (now Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture), which enshrine Benzaiten, are called the "Three Great Shrines of Benzaiten," and when Tenkawa (now Tenkawa　Village, Nara Prefecture) and Kinkazan are added, the five temples are collectively called the "Five Great Shrines of Benzaiten".
