 Artist Unknown Byoubu, folding screens, illustrating the Toukaidou Highway. This is a pair. On the right is an illustration of the Nihon-bashi Bridge with Edo Castle and the Shimada Post Station depicted, each inside the shape of a cloud. On the left a view from the Oi-gawa River, reaching the Sanjo-Ohashi Bridge at Kyo and the Emperor’s Palace.
