解説かいせつ

 The themes of this sugoroku board game are events and customs of the four seasons, and players take turns to roll dice and move their piece the number of space rolled. The starting point, which is illustrated on the left upper part is the space for “Enoshima” and the picture of women heading to Enoshima in the early summer season is illustrated. During the Edo period, people recognized the pilgrimage to Enoshima was the event for the early summer.
