解説かいせつ

Utagawa HiroshigeⅡ 1854 At the Sanjō-Ōhashi bridge of Kyoto. Crossing the bridge are Ōhara-onna ―women carrying commodities such as tea and fire wood on their heads and a man holding an umbrella and wearing a Kamishimo ―an Edo-period ceremonial dress of the warrior class. In the background is a row of stores and houses on a street beneath Mount Hikagashi-yama.
