解説かいせつ

 Utagawa HiroshigeⅡ 1854 The scenery of Atsuta Port is illustrated. At the right foreground, Hama no Torii, a big Torii Gate of Atsuta-jingu Shrine with the background of extended Ise Bay is illustrated. Traveler had to take the sea route from Miya to Kuwana post station and this was the only sea route existed along the Toukaidou Highway. It is called “the ferry of 7-ri (7-ri is about 27.3 km)”.
