解説かいせつ

 Utagawa HiroshigeⅡ 1854 At Sakawa River, the usual transportation for crossing the river was kachi-watashi, and each traveler asked a man to carry by walk. The crossing fees depended on the number of porter, the type of the vehicle they useed and the depth of the river.
