解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Hiroshige The production date:1840 This is the tateba, a rest stop located between post station, of Tomita located at the west of Kuwana Post Station. Along the highway, the famous local delicacy of baked Hamaguri (clam shell) shops are illustrated. At the front of these stores, women are baking Hamaguris.
