Once traveler’s crossed Imagire Estuary, the ferries docked on the side of Arai post station. In this print, the docks at Arai are depicted with the estuary of Lake Hamanako depicted to the left. The Imagire Sekisho (Checkpoint) was known to be a strict government checkpoint, second to Hakone Sekisho, to regulate travel along the highway.
