解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Hiroshige The production date:1840 The flat road that extends diagonally from the foreground to the right is the Tokaidou Highway and shops. The building illustrated on the right is Hamamatsu Catsle. This series of ukiyo-e is called “The Toukaidou with Kyouka Poems” since a kyouka poem is assorted to every ukiyo-e picture.
