解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Hiroshige The production date:1840 Nissaka post station was located at the west of the Nakayama mountain pass of Sayo, where many dangerous pass with steep slopes were located. This series of ukiyo-e is called “The Toukaidou with Kyouka Poems” since a kyouka poem is assorted to every ukiyo-e picture.
