解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Hiroshige The production date:1840 The scene of people crossing the Seto River, which is located the westside of Fujieda post station, by riding on the porters’ shoulders is illustrated. This series of ukiyo-e is called “The Toukaidou with Kyouka Poems” since a kyouka poem is assorted to every ukiyo-e picture.
