解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Hiroshige 1840 It seems a scenery of Mt. Fuji, which is viewed from the west end of Ejiri post station is depicted. A pastoral scenery extends beyond the highway that people passing by and Mt. Fuji is depicted beyond the lower mountains. By placing white cloud about the border of Mt. Fuji and mountains, the distance to Mt. Fuji from the highway and the depth of the spaces are expressed.
