解説かいせつ

 Utagawa　Kuniyoshi Production date:1830-1842 There are many anecdotes of Yoshitsune’s exploits. “Ichi-no-tani (Hiyodori-goe) no Sakaotoshi” is Yoshitsune’s famous surprise attack on the Taira clan from the rear side of Ichi-no-tani, which contained a steep precipice, followed by his cavalry and army. This heroic and thrilling composition became one of the typical compositions of the warrior pictures.
