解説かいせつ

Kishida Ryusei was born as the fourth son of Kishida Ginkou, at Ginza in Tokyo. He joined a study group of Western style painting Hakuba-kai Aoibashi and studied under Kuroda Seiki In 1911(Meiji 44), he exhibited his works at an exhibition sponsored by a Japanese literary coterie “Shirakaba-ha (White Birch Society)”, which published the literary magazine “Shirakaba” from 1910 and through the exhibition, he made an acquaintance with this coterie. Not just paintings, Ryusei also wrote essays and notes on various media.
