解説かいせつ

 Yamagishi Kazue Production date:1926－1936 After graduating from elementally school, Kazue went to Tokyo and trained as a carver of woodblocks. From Taisho 2 (1913) to Taisho 5, he worked at Yomiuri Newspaper co. and carved the illustrations of newspapers. At the same time, he studied western style painting (oil painting) under Kuroda Seiki. From Taisho 15 (1926), he traveled America and European countries, produced many woodblock prints of the Landscapes.
