 Oguri Hangan Sukeshige’s Ride on a Horse Onikage at the Residence of Yokoyama

解説かいせつ

 Artst　Utagawa Sadatora 1842 With a dynamic composition, the scene of Princess Terute’s father, Yokoyama’s residence is illustrated. At the left, Oguri’s great ride on a wild horse “Onikage” is illustrated. Yokoyama and Princess Terute are illustrated at the central piece, and a person who wrestles down one of Yokoyama’s vassals is Oguri’s vassal Ikeshouji Sukenaga. Since the scene of a battle between Oguri’s group and Yokoyama’s group was never written in the sekkyou-bushi, it was arranged into a worrier picture.
