 Utagawa Kunisada(ToyokuniⅢ) The production date:1856 The scene of the popular actors heading to Enoshima Island for the pilgrimage is illustrated. For the admirers of illustrated actors, this picture might be a private photo of the actors. It was produced in 1857, when kaichou, or the special ceremony of Benzaiten Shrine of Enoshima Island took place. A rakkan (sign of artist) suggests, this picture was based on the imagination of the artist Utagawa Kunisada, thus this is the actors’ imaginal tour to Enoshima Island.
