A woman illustrated at the foreground is wrapping a towel on her head in a special way called ane-san kaburi. This lady is illustrated with the custom of a young woman, but from the gesture of her hand beckoning the two girls coming after her, it is suggested that she is a mother of these girls. The pale blue, such as the pastel colors of background and woman’s kimono is used as a prevailing color. With this soft pastel colors that symbolized the new era, this work becomes a beauty picture of the modern period.
