Seikyou-dou The landscape of Enoshima Island is illustrated on the grid of drawing scale. This work suggests, the perspective drawing methods such as one point perspective that captures the articulate depth in the picture and painting methods such as golden section were already adopted by this time, as many Western cultures were introduced and adopted to Japanese culture from the Meiji period. In 1889, Tokyo School of Fine Arts was opened and the study of Western style painting rapidly progressed.
