Authors: Tamenaga Shunsui, Ryusuitei Tanekiyo Artists: Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III), Utagawa Kuniaki, Shousai Ginkou Full-length kusa-zoushi (light novel with pictures) with 48 titles This story was published from 1855 (Ansei 2) and completed in 1883 (Meiji 16). The author switched to Ryusuitei Tanekiyo from the 45 title. The artists were switched to Utagawa Kunisada II from 42-44 titles, then Kuniaki for 45 title and Ginkou for 46 title. This story was inspired by a historic event of Kaga-Soudoudou, a domestic squabble of Kaga clan (a dispute over the inheritance and succession of the clan). Situating beguiling and vicious boy Yukari-no-jou, who can use witchcraft as the main character, a full-length romantic story is unrolled with full of erotic and ghostly elements. In kabuki play this story was performed at Osaka Naka-za Theater in Meiji 9 and Tokyo Haruki-za Theater in Meiji 14
