Edited by Kobutsu (Takian) Artist: Keisai Eisen This is an e-baisho (book of haiku poetries with related pictures) that various poetries by the notable contemporary poets from the haikai poetry circles are allotted with the pictures of famous places of provinces of all over Japan. The famous places complied in this picture is 21 places including Yamamuro-no-kuni Arashiyama, Settsu-no-kuni Sakura-no-miya, and Musashi-no-kuni Sumidagawa (Sumida River). At Sagami Province, the Enoshima Island is illustrated. Most of the poetries were written by unknown poets, but there are name of famous poets such as Kume Itsuen and Sakurai Baishitsu. The picture of “Haikai-shiki Kaitei no Zu” that illustrates the scene of party that many men and women of haikai poetry circle gathered is inserted at the opening page.
