Kita has his finger bitten by a soft-shelled turtle and calls Yaji for help. Yaji remembers the trouble he had when he was bitten by a soft-shelled turtle at an inn in Mishima-shuku, and gives advice to Kita. “What a trouble. A soft-shelled turtle doesn’t let go what it bites unless there is a thunder. Be patient.” Shortly after Yaji gives advice, the turtle lets go the finger, and Kita tells a joke.
