解説 |
Kumano Gongen (present Kasado Shrine) is illustrated beyond the torii gate on the right side of the work. Among travelers, there is a Konpira pilgrim carrying a tengu mask on his back. Mistakenly written as Shirashimazuka in the work, Shiratorizuka (also known as Hiyodorizuka), a legendary place where Yamato Takeru is said to have passed away and flew from as a swan, as well as Onzōshi Shrine (Kaba no Kanja Noriyori no Yashiro) where Minamoto no Yoritomo’s younger brother, Noriyori, is enshrined, are located between Ishiyakushi and Shōno. |
