Utagawa HiroshigeⅢ The production date:1875 Yahagi Bridge was known as the longest bridge along the Toukaidou Highway and it was also a famous place. The illustrated bridge is the temporary bridge constructed after the Meiji period. The two-wheeled rikisha and people dressed in the western cloths are passing by on the bridge. Two women are doing laundry and a man draws water from the river at the foot of the bridge. |
