Goyu was at the crossroads of the Hime Kaidō and the approach to Hōrai-ji Temple and prospered as a transport hub. It is also known that many inn maids from the next post station located nearby tried to attract travelers there. Hiroshige’s name is written on a flag at the storefront. |
