Utagawa Sadahide 1863 Explicação geral A série Toukaidou, conhecida como Gojouraku Toukaidou, foi publicada em 1863 (Bunkyu 3) com a visita do 14° xogum (comandante militar) Iemochi Tokugawa a Kyoto. Cada obra desta série retrata guerreiros e procissões de senhores feudais. Ela aborda não somente as pousadas de Toukaidou, como também locais famosos ao longo do seu percurso, contando com a enorme quantidade de 162 pinturas. As pinturas foram feitas por 16 artistas de sucesso na época, incluindo Toyokuni Utagawa III e Hiroshige Utagawa II. This is one of the series of “Jouraku Toukaidou (Samurai’s procession along the Toukaidou Highway)”. Inamura-ga-saki Cliff, Koshigoe, Enoshima Island, Hakone Mountain Range, Futago-dake Mountain, Shimoda and finally Mt. Fuji are illustrated with the names of the places, and they are illustrated from the angle of the First Torii Gate of Tsuru-ga-oka Hachimangu Shrine located at Yui-ga-hama.
