解説かいせつ

 Utagawa　HiroshigeⅡ 1863 Mariko post station was famous with the yam soup. In the picture, there are many shops that put up the signboards of “Yam Soup”. Mariko post station was the smallest station along the Toukaidou Highway but this place was flourished as a rest stop located before the Utsunoya touge (Utsunoya mountain pass).
