Artist: Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) Production date: 1863 (Bunkyu 3) The travelers on a break at a teahouse and a waitress are illustrated with the background scenery of a procession. Farther back of the procession, the grand Mt Fuji is illustrated. Illustrated place is considered to be the tateba (rest stop) of Ipponmatsu since this place gained a reputation as the great scenic spot that travelers can view the biggest Mt. Fuji along the Toukaidou Highway. |
