解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) 1863 As many of the Kunisada’s pictures, the composition of beauty with the famous place on the back is illustrated. The illustrated lady is Lady Tora-Gozen and she has a connection to Oiso. Since the pattern of her kimono, “hama-chidori (birds and waves)” is same as that of her lover Soga Jyurou, their relationship is suggested. .
