Artist: Utagawa Hiroshige II Production date: 1863 (Bunkyu 3) In this picture, a scene of Rokugou Ferry is illustrated. A procession is divided into small groups and the ferries move toward the other shore. The leading groups already arrived at the other shore and proceed on their way. However, the long line of people continues and more groups wait for the ferries to return. Since Mt. Fuji is illustrated at the background, the procession is crossing the river from the direction of Edo to Kawasaki. |
