解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Kunisada(Utagawa Toyokuni Ⅲ) 1833 The background landscape is the same composition of “Shirasuka, Scene of Shiomi Slope” from Hiroshige’s Hoeidou edition of the Toukaidou series. The scenery of Shio-mi-zaka Slope, which is located east side of Shirasuka post station is depicted. The Sea of Enshu is extended on the background. Shio-mi-zaka Slope was famous with its great view.
