解説かいせつ

 Utagawa Kuniyasu 1821・1822 A procession is now returning from Katase and moving toward Shichiri-ga-hama Beach, after people finished the pilgrimage to Enoshima Shrine. As a typical work by Kuniyasu, who was known as the master bijin-ga (the portraits of beautiful women) artist, this picture is as well a bijin mitate (parody by beauties) picture that all the people including attendants are depicted as women.
