解説かいせつ

Subtitle: Morokoshi Field at Koyurugi Cape Utagawa ToyokuniⅡ 1830-34 This print depicts the view of Enoshima Island and Mt. Fuji from Morokoshi field, which was said to have been located west of Koshigoe. Koyurugi Cape is depicted protruding in to the frame from the left. Travelers are also depicted walking on the beach. Utagawa Toyokuni II only produced two works depicting Enoshima Island. The works being this print and the bijin-ga (paintings of beauties), No.27 Kashiku of Tsuru-ya House with the View of Enoshima Island, from the series “Collection of Beauties with Famous Places of Japan”.
