Tamagawa Shuchou The production date: 1797 (Kansei 9) This work belongs to the genre of uki-e perspective landscape paintings that Shuchou produced occasionally. The Enoshima Island and Mt. Fuji are illustrated at the background of the travelers walking along the Shichiri-ga-hama Beach. In the picture, both of the people walk toward to the Enoshima Island and people walk to the opposite direction, who just paid homage at the Enoshima Shrine are illustrated. People came back from the Enoshima Island are holding the Enoshima’s local specialty, the sake lees pickles as the souvenirs. |
