Maka Araya 1698 This is a woodblock-printed book published in 1698, describing the selection of the Seven Lucky Gods in the late Edo period. According to Maka Araya, the Seven Lucky Gods are as follows. 1. Kisshōten 2. Benzaiten 3. Tamonten (Bishamon) 4. Daikoku Tenjin 5. Hotei Oshō 6. Nankyoku Rōjin 7. Ebisu Saburō The description of each god includes shrines that enshrine them (e.g. Gōshū Chikubushima and Sōshū Enoshima for Benzaiten), other names or nicknames, and relationships with other gods (e.g. history of popular worship of Ebisu Saburō and Daikokushin as the Double Lucky Gods).
