A Panoramic View of Enoshima Island |
解説 |
Ezōshi-ya Zenbē 1808 Enoshima Island is warped in this map to include the entire island much like No. 23 and 25, although the structure of the island differs from the previous two maps as the island is comparatively elongated. The print was published by a shop called Ezu-ya (Map Shop) that was located just inside the torii gate that marked the entrance to the island. This is indicated in the bottom left corner. Mt. Fuji is depicted on the right side of the island with Eboshi-iwa of Uba-jima Island, a popular geological feature for tourists off the coast of present-day Chigasaki beach, also included in the composition. |
