This work is part of a series illustrating people traveling the Tōkaidō. A bird’s-eye view perspective of Fujisawa area is depicted in the background with various travelers resting in the foreground. Each figure is paired with an inscription describing where their destinations may be. Rokubu (monks who travelled all over the country to deliver the hand-copied Lotus Sutra scrolls), Junrei (pilgrims), Shugyōsha (pilgrims in ascetic training), and Kompira-mairi (pilgrims on route to the famous Kompira Shrine of Kagawa prefecture) are humorously illustrated. In the background, various famous sites such as Enoshima Island, Ryukō-ji Temple of Mt. Shichimen-zan, Yugyō-ji Temple, The First Torii Gate of Enoshima, Yotsuya Rest Area, and Nango are illustrated.
