Utagawa Hiroshige The production date:1840 Fukuroi post station is located at the halfway point of the Toukaidou Highway that started from Nihonbashi to Kyoto. This series of ukiyo-e is called “The Toukaidou with Kyouka Poems” since a kyouka poem is assorted to every ukiyo-e picture.

Utagawa HiroshigeⅡ 1854 The scene of Fude-sute Mountain situated in front of the Saka-no-shita post station is illustrated. The illustrated tea-shop was known for its grate view of Fude-sute Mountain across the Suzuka River.
