With a placid-looking Sakurajima Island in the background, it has fine renderings of governmental and municipal offices, libraries, public halls, and other facilities. The district where Saigo Takamori was born is Kajiya-cho. In this district, the birthplaces of prominent Meiji personages such as Okubo Toshimichi, Oyama Iwao, and Togo Heihachiro are located close to each other.

Yoshida Hatsusaburou 1922 1922, Kanpei Taisha Sengen Jinja shamusho This work emphasizes Japan's highest mountain, Mount Fuji, in a composition that seems to show the entire Kanto region at its foot of the mountain. There is the "Omote trailhead" at Fujinomiya, where Sengen Shrine is located; the "Gotemba trailhead", which is easily accessible by rail; the "Subashiri trailhead", which was often used for descents; and the "Yoshida trailhead", which climbs from the north side of Mount Fuji. On each of the four trailheads, Torii (gateways) stands, indicating that they are the paths of the Fugaku faith.

Yoshida Hatsusaburou 1923 On September 1, 1923, a huge earthquake whose epicenter was in the western part of Sagami Bay struck the whole of the Kanto region. This bird’s eye view painting shows fires breaking out and spreading in Tokyo, Yokohama, and various other places along the Pacific coast. It was distributed as an insert in an issue of the Osaka edition of Asahi Shimbun newspaper published in the year after the earthquake. The company’s flag design can be seen on the wings of the aircraft flying above. On the rear is a heading translating “one year after the disaster,” accompanied by a description of the destruction and recovery situation by means of photos and articles.

Yoshida Hatsusaburou 1934 1934, Keikyu Corporation and Shonan Electric Railway In April 1933, Shonan Electric Railway commenced direct operations between Shinagawa and Uraga on a mutual basis with Keihin Electric Railway. However, competition from the extension of the Yokosuka Line forced the company to rationalize its operations, and in November 1941 it was merged with Keihin Electric Railway and Shonan Peninsula Motor Company, both of which had capital ties with Shonan Electric Railway, and Shonan Electric Railway was dissolved. The merged Keihin Electric Railway is the predecessor of the current Keihin Electric Railway.
