Yoshida Hatsusaburo
1916
In it is the Onjin Byodo monument (a memorial erected to Fujisawa opponents and allies that was designated as a historical property by the Japanese government in 1926), which does not appear in drawings of the temple precincts made in the Meiji era. However, the picture also shows the temple gate and Deva gate, which burned down in the great fire that occurred in the town of Fujisawa in 1880, the 13th year of the Meiji era. It is consequently thought that this picture was essentially based on a drawing of the temple grounds made in the early part of the Meiji era.
