Utagawa HiroshigeⅢ The production date:1875 Tenryu River has been known with its rapid stream, therefore during the Edo period, people crossed the river using the ferry service. However, a bridge was constructed over the river in Meiji period.

Utagawa HiroshigeⅢ The production date:1875 Oi River was known for its flood disaster and it is considered that the Oi River was the most difficult river to cross along the Toukaidou Highway. However, construction of the bridge began with the arrival of the modern era and in this picture, travelers are crossing the temporary bridge.
